Campus as a Living Lab: New Opportunities for HVACR Education

This session will discuss the living lab and how to incorporate one into your curriculum. The living lab provides opportunities for students to gain real-world experiences on equipment often not available in the classroom. It exposes them to real world situations and opportunities to learn about building performance which will make the program come to life and more engaging for the students. Examples from different colleges will be highlighted to illustrate varying levels of difficulty and skills developed. Then a discussion and brainstorming session will follow so attendees can develop ideas to take home to their colleges.
